Show Notes

Hey, Everybody! We’re back again with another “We Review the Reviews” Episode! This time we are reviewing the reviews of “Indulgence in Death.”
Before we go any further, we talk a bit about the next dustup on the J.D. Robb Official Facebook page where Denise argues with Nora about whether or not the reader “collaborates” with the author. We will talk about this more in depth on the next “Briefing Room.”
Anyway…back to reviews. With these reviews, we learn a lot in this episode, including:
  • This book is Fluff
  • This book is badly written romance
  • They’re written specifically to familiarize new readers with this series, and therefore, yes, they rehash some details.
  • Sex scenes are “done to death.”
  • Susan Ericksen is an amazing reader, and if you don’t think so, maybe YOU are the Worst. Reader. Ever.
  • Some readers found this book Boring, Boring.
  • Some people only read the novellas because they are “Completists.”
  • Regular Nora Roberts novels have little to none profanity and sex.
  • Eve Dallas can be judgmental, and that IS in character for her.
  • Some fans are really amazing reviewers and we really love those people.
